Details and Prices

7 Days and 5 Nights is the ultimate experience of El Nido with Tao. Explore all the hidden wonders of Bacuit bay, then head north along the coats, visiting working fishing villages. Cross the tip of Palawan and discover Daracouton Island and across the bay to Tao Farm. Stay here as long as you wish or if you still have the energy to explore more you can cross into Linipacan to visit the most remote of the the tao Basecamps.

Information

Who is this trip for?

There are many island hopping trips departing El Nido to explore the bacuit Bay, usually advertised as A B C tours. these tours are usually on a small boat, shared with other tourists. Tao trips are not just island hopping day trips, they are are all inclusive experience of the islands.

  • Tao Destinations are away from the crowded ABC tours
  • More time in the islands as you don’t need to return to town at 4pm.
  • Tao Boats are spacious, designed for expeditions to Coron, with sundeck for lounging, onboard kitchen, toilet and shower. They are higher above the waves so are more stable and safer.
  • Additional to the Bacuit bay, we explore the coast of El Nido, daracouton Bay and beyond well away from the tourist crowds.

What is not included in the price of the trip?

 

  • Drinks from the bar. Available onboard is a bar serving cold beer, soft drinks and cocktails. We use a cashless Bracelet system so you don’ have to carry your wallet.
  • Corkage for bottles if you bring your own drinks that we don’t provide  [wine, champagne etc]
  • Massages [available in certain basecamps]
  • Towels and toiletries are available to buy or rent.
  • Eco Tourism Development Fee [aprox 5 USD] every visitor to El Nido must secure this permit when the arrive in town.
  • Tip for the Crew. If you enjoy the service, the crew will enjoy a tip!

Packing List

  • Clothes for the day (swimwear for getting in and out of the water, shorts, t-shirts and tank tops) and night (light trousers and long sleeves to minimise insect bites)
  • Sun protection (sunblock, hats, sunglasses)
  • Wash kit (soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste)
  • Insect repellent
  • Bath towels
  • Sarong (day/beach towels) for drying up, lounging, and wrapping around your head as additional sun protection
  • Reusable water bottle (no plastic bottles allowed on board – if you don’t want to invest then ask for an empty rum bottle)
  • Sandals/Flip flops and Reef shoes (you might need trek shoes in some parts too)
  • Flashlights/headlamps for getting around in the dark
  • Rash guard to guard against…rashes, the sun, and jellyfish stings
  • Other sm`all things you may want or need: fins, camera (but be careful with salt water damage; we recommend an extra dry bag for electronics), a book, a journal, an open mind, a good attitude, a sunny disposition….

Check-in, Departure and Arrival

Guests are required to check in at the Tao Office in Corong-Corong any time before their trip.
We recommend that you check in and meet the crew for a briefing the night before departure so that everyone is orientated and ready to leave early on the day of departure.
The El Nido Safari is a private trip, so you can adjust departure and arrival times depending on your group, there is no rush and we can leave when you are ready. However here is the usual
  • DEPARTURE TIME: 8:00AM, Tao Office, El Nido
  • ARRIVAL TIME: 5:00PM, Tao Office, El Nido

Drop off after your tip at a Resort or Lio Airport can be arranged, just let us know in advance.
